I’m Sajida, a Registered Dietitian specializing in a plant forward way of eating. Many people think healthy foods featuring whole-grains and fresh produce can’t be truly delicious. I’m here to show them it absolutely can. I enjoy using whole, minimally processed whole grains and fresh seasonal produce in my own cooking.

I’m passionate about crafting simple, flavorful recipes that celebrate whole grains. My mission is to create a space where anyone (no matter where they are on their wellness journey) can discover how easy and enjoyable nutritious cooking can be. By adding more whole grains and plant-based ingredients to our plates, we not only nourish our bodies, but also make choices that support our communities, and our planet and safeguard the future for the next generation. Every meal is an opportunity to take a step in the right direction, and I hope to inspire you on that journey.

More About Me

I was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, where I grew up in a culture that placed meat at the center of every meal and often viewed plant-based foods as “poor man’s food.” At 24, I moved to the United States with my husband and eventually made the Bay Area our home—a place I deeply appreciate for its cultural diversity, abundance of fresh produce, warm weather, and beautiful coastline.

Outside the kitchen, I’m happiest in nature. In my free time, you’ll find me hiking local trails, tending to my garden, or exploring new places. Cooking and baking have always been my creative outlets, and I love taking familiar recipes, especially the traditional dishes from my childhood and transforming them into lighter, healthier, plant-based versions that are just as satisfying as the originals. My goal is to show just how delicious, accessible, and satisfying whole-grain cooking can be.

This space is where I share that journey, offering recipes and inspiration to help you bring more wholesome, grain-powered goodness into your everyday meals.
